When do you need an E-Befund?

In Austria, an E-Befund is required in the following cases:

• New builds or major renovations

• Purchase/sale or handover of a flat/house

• Rental or commercial use

• After damage (fire, water) as proof for insurance

• When requested by the property manager, authorities, or your insurer
