How an E-Befund works
1 Appointment & preparation
We schedule an appointment and provide you with a short checklist (e.g., access to the distribution board, existing plans).
2 On-Site Inspection
We carry out a visual inspection and all required standard measurements of the installation, including verification of all protective measures.
3 Documentation & Result
You receive an official inspection report including a list of any deficiencies. If further work is required, you will receive a transparent quotation.

When do you need an E-Befund?
In Austria, an E-Befund is required or strongly recommended in the following cases:

New builds or major renovations

Purchase/sale or handover of a flat/house

After damage (fire, water) as proof for insurance

When requested by the property manager, authorities, or your insurer
Without a valid E-Befund, you can risk losing insurance coverage and face legal issues.
What gets inspected?
As part of the E-Befund, the entire electrical installation is inspected for safety and proper function in accordance with ÖVE/ÖNORM standards.

Why is there a minimum price?
An E-Befund includes a full standards-compliant inspection, all legally required measurements, and the preparation of an official inspection report — regardless of the size of the property.
Why is it cheaper with documentation?
If installation plans and existing electrical documentation are available, the inspection and documentation process requires less time both on site and in the office.
This allows us to reduce the price per square meter accordingly.
